Landlord and Tenant Information

County regulations state that property owners shall be held responsible for sewer charges on their premise.  Bills can be mailed to the tenant, however if that tenant fails to make payment, the property owner is held responsible.

Should a tenant move without paying the final bill, the property owner is ultimately responsible for the charges.  Unpaid sewer bills may be placed as a lien against the property and collected with the property taxes.

Landlords/property owners can call our department at 740-223-4130 to check on whether or not their tenants are current on their accounts.
