The Marion County Auditor will be holding an Auditor Sale on Friday, August 7th at 10:00 a.m. immediately following a scheduled Sheriff’s Sale on the second floor of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, 100 Executive Drive. Eight properties that did not sell after being offered twice at Tax Foreclosure sale have been forfeited to the State of Ohio. The initial bid is set at current taxes and court costs due. If the property receives no bids, it will be offered at a minimum bid of $200. Deed, conveyance and recording fees are to be paid by the winning bidder.
In an effort to expedite the morning’s registration process, the Marion County Auditor’s Office is pre-registering those who will take part. Registration forms are available by downloading the Auditor Sale Packet.
If you choose not to pre-register, it is strongly recommended that you arrive 45 minutes prior to the start of the sale to register. Registration forms are required for all bidders.
Please note 6-foot social distancing guidelines will be observed, but due to limited seating it is asked only those interested in purchasing properties to attend the sale. All attendees must wear a mask/facial covering and will have their temperature taken upon entering the building.
