Position: Equipment Operator I
The Marion County Engineer is accepting applications for one or more Equipment Operator 1 positions. Anyone interested may file a written application with the County Engineer at the County Building, 222 West Center Street, Marion, Ohio 43302. This position requires the possession of a Class A, CDL. The job requires the employee to be exposed to all weather conditions associated with this location in Ohio. Overtime is an expected part of this position and can happen at the time Nature determines. Employees must be able to perform physical labor, operate construction equipment, and work in a team environment along with a strong sense of community pride and public relations.

Position: Mechanic
The Marion County Engineer is accepting applications for the position of Mechanic. Anyone interested may file a written application with the County Engineer at the County Building, 222 West Center Street, Marion, Ohio 43302. This position requires completion of the twelfth grade, a minimum of two years prior experience as a skill mechanic and the possession of a Class A, CDL. The applicant should have knowledge of standard practices and tools used in the repair of automotive equipment and diesel engines; knowledge of the construction, assembly, adjustment and maintenance of a wide variety of automotive shop equipment and tools; and the ability to maintain work and parts records. The responsibilites of this position include, but not exhaustive to, repairing and maintaining a variety of automobiles, trucks, earth-moving and road building machines. The successful applicant could also be required to act as supervisor in the absence of supervisor or Operator II personnel.
