On January 22, 2019 at approximately 10am, the MARMET-METRICH Drug Task Force with the assistance of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio Attorney General BCI & I served a search warrant at 1671 Whetstone River Road South in Marion County, Ohio. The warrant was issued after a long term investigation into a marijuana growing operation.

During the search of the property, detectives located 1500 grams of marijuana, 30 grams of hash, 15 grams of marijuana wax, and 18 plants along with grow equipment, two firearms and chemicals to assemble and make marijuana dabs.

The resident, 36 year old Daniel Orians was arrested and charged with manufacturing, cultivation and possession of marijuana. Orians was incarcerated at the Multi County Correctional Center.

MARMET consists of members of the Marion City Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
